Description
Upon producing a bloom in the spring new foliage of the sago palm leaves unfold they appear while and fuzzy, as they mature they turn dark green. The fronds are blessed and given out on Palm Sunday. The plant is poisonous to animals particularly dogs tend to chew on the seeds, this mature and old sago palm growing in the garden of the St. Vincent Infant Asylum. When it closed it doors it became the St. Vincent Hotel, this historic building was sold now undergoing a historic renovation.
