This amazing treatment makes this photo of a tall sailing ship pass through mariner's Saint Elmo's Fire. The original photo was enhanced digital color overlays to produce the Saint Elmo effect. My father during World War II described it out at sea, like an electric charge on everything, your body, He described it as like a neon glow. its an atmospheric condition happens rarely, the salt water and electrons play a role. I also, remember while on a platform, seeing something similar, there were two satellite dishes mounted on the rail, and there was an approaching storm and between the two dishes were static electric moving between the two dishes. The crew was alerted to remain indoors. Water is a conductor of electric. And platforms are grounded to the base of the ocean floor.
This unique photo would be ideal in any nautical lover's living space, office, or sail boat. The vibrant colors would no doubt bright up a dull wall.

Greetings Craig, thank you so much for viewing my gallery and Saint Elmo's Fire, it pleases me this photo and digital enhancement appeals to you, I remember I suppose the closest thing I actually witnessed in real life was something similar but a bit more dangerous. while I was working off shore the gallery they had a cat walk just out side and I was in between my cooking and went out side to take a break and with the electric storm miles away, and the lightning charges striking the water, between the two satellite dishes were these static electric charges moving from one dish to another. I went in and told the platform foreman what was occurring and they made an emergency announcement to stay indoors until the storm was out of our area. Water is a conductor of electricity, and the platform is grounded to the ocean floor, the crew watch from just outside the gallery windows.....I appreciate your generous comment and the L, Cheers, Michael Hoard
