This stunning sculpture was created by a sculpture. A tree here in New Orleans was struck by lightning and a sculptor carved out of the entire tree bird and other local images from its dead branches. The tree is on Bayou St. John just off Jefferson Davis Parkway. The sculpture used a gas powered saw and crane to carve the beautiful birds from its branches, wood, feathers, neck,
