Description
This dramatic image is the moon passing in front of the sun back in the mid to late 80's. I drove about 45 minutes outside New Orleans. I used two exposed color negatives, aligned the camera centered to the sun and used a white board and focused the image looking at the shadow on the white board which was attached to the tripod. I used my Olympus om 10 wide angle lens, The image because of the intense light was red, I reversed the image to infra red and applied tint to represent the whitish crescent which is the sun, and the dark round object is the moon. Enlarged you can make out faint outline of the craters on the moon. The image is not exactly focused but upper left of the crescent you can slightly see flares from the sun and lower right quadrant of the crescent.....
