This steam powered locomotive The Sprit of Louisiana No 745 sits at The Fly a green space located at Mississippi River Levee behind the New Orleans Audubon Zoo. The was commissioned in 1921 and built in Algiers, Louisiana. The steam powered train is one of 200 working trains across America. Over Million dollars was donated to restore this vintage train in operating condition.
The steam powered locomotive travels throughout the state and south and tours are conducted.
