Whitney Plantation circa1790 front view, a historic sugar can plantation located less than an hour west of New Orleans, Louisiana. Whitney Plantation is the only plantation museum in Louisiana with emphasis focused on the lives of enslaved people. On the plantation remaining are the original slave cabins, freedmen's church, a detached kitchen and out buildings. Also on the plantation are memorials built to honor the enslaved. Whitney Plantation has been host to many Hollywood movies productions.
The entire documented photographic series in color and sepia tone application to give the images a nostalgic appeal. The title of the new series is Slavery A Black And White Perspective copyright protected, Michael Joseph Hoard photography 2016
