Greetings Mary, thank you so much for viewing The Cross On The Hill San Juan Capistrano California, as always my camera is in arms reach for any type of photo op, the train not speeding and I too was curious and managed to capture with the reflection bouncing back on the train window I was viewing. I wondered did someone die at that spot and as many do place a cross, or did the land owner place the cross for all to see from the train window. the brush all throughout Southern California was dry from intense temperature and lack of rain, it pleases me this dramatic image appeals to you and I appreciate the generous comments, Cheers, Michael Hoard photographer

What a capture, moody and gave me chills. I do not know the history of that cross - whether modern of older - but the image is an attention grabber.
