This stunning photo of The Magician Pyramid Uxmel Pyramid in Yucatan, Mexico is the only know curved pyramid in the world. These beautiful structures built by the Mayans rise hundreds of feet above the thick canopy of trees. Uxmel is located on the only highest elevation in the region. This pyramid is off limits to explore, the photo was taken from the top of another Xumel pyramid. This photo was taken with a Nikon 820 telephoto zoom, manual settings. This photo would be an ideal to any collector of the Mayan Culture. If you carefully view the upper opening of Uxmal you will see a ladder left behind by an archeologist or someone else wanting to get to the very top of Uxmal.

The photo is Uxmal Pyramid, no is allowed to climb to the top, I climbed to the top of The Great Magician Pyramid a distance away and found this view of the Xumal rising above the thick jungle foliage, which I consider one of my best images. Not long after my visit archeologist exploring and aid of satellite images made other discoveries never before known existed...as I observed the image I took when enlarged you can see someone left a ladder at the very top, someone a archeologist or tourist manage to use it to get to the very top of Uxmal......Cheers, Michael Hoard
