This amazing photo was taken at !2:10 am January 1, 2014. The New Year's Eve fireworks lights up the night sky on the Mississippi River directly in front of the oldest continuous catholic cathedral in the United States. The Cathedral is on the National Register of Historic Landmarks located in the French Quarter in New Orleans Louisiana. This photo was taken from the rear of the Cathedral at Pirates Alley facing towards the Mississippi River I left the local pub I was celebrating New Years Eve at and between taking videos and still photos I wanted to capture the oldest continuous Catholic Cathedral with this beautiful fireworks display. The photo was taken with a Nikon 820 macro manual zoom.
