Description
This rustic photo is the Historic Jazz Preservation, Preservation Hall, located on St. Peter. A lantern illuminates the rustic building at night. This building is located in the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana, visitors and locals can stop in and hear original jazz by original band members. This unique photo was taken with a Nikon 820 macro zoom, night settings without flash. The glow from the lighted lantern and years weather conditions creates a surreal affect.

Hello Melissa, thank you so much for viewing Preservation Hall, I appreciate your generous comment and this was taken not long after getting my new Nikon 820. This particular photo was achieved by manual changing the camera control settings and with the amber lighting it created a surreal affect. When the camera controls are changed you can achieve if a daylight photo deeper blues or at night a more amber colored. This photo was not altered in photo shop. Cheers, Michael Hoard
