Description
This beautiful cluster of Plumbago in full bloom for the Summer Solstice in New Orleans, Louisiana. The plant belongs to the Plumbaginaceae species, there are over 10-20 species. The plant can grow to a large low covering shrub 3 ft perhaps larger. They are beautiful when planted in groupings. I remember as kid if I brushed up against it, the flowers would cling to my socks or pants. My mother new I was doing a little gardening, she would find the flowers stuck to my socks or pants, as I mowed the grass around the shrub. This photo was taken with my Nikon 820 macro zoom, manual settings, natural indirect lighting.
