Description
The prized sort after throw from the Mardi Gras day Zulu parade. These coconuts by the hundreds are sanded down and hand painted by crew members of the parade. Years past these coconuts were thrown from the floats and due to liability of injuring a parade goer the practice was discontinued. Today riders of the parade drop these collectible throws. These creative hand painted Mardi Gras are individually some black on white, many gold and others with glitter......One of so many unique things of New Orleans from its architecture, its food and traditions Mardi Gras!!!
