Description
A late afternoon shower in the garden district produced a stunning rainbow in the eastern sky the lower garden district of New Orleans, I watched the storm as it passed over the apartment complex which I live and just blocks away and rode down to capture the rainbow form in the eastern sky behind the Statue of General Robert E. Lee, slight adjustments were made to accent the rainbow.
This now considered a rare photograph among all others since the removal of the 4 confederate statues recently in New Orleans. Over the years I have captured images of this magnificent piece of art sculpture and attain the largest private collection of this statue. The only image which I did not have the opportunity to capture was the statue in snow.
The statue of General Robert E. Lee from a artist/photographers perspective images taken of the solstice, beaver full moon, super moons, halos, fog, rainbows, Mardi Gras and many other perspectives. Upon my demise, the entire photographic collection of images has been accepted as a permanent collection in a local New Orleans Historic Archival Museum.
