This stunning likeness of Joan Crawford is timeless, the expression on the subjects face, the emphasis of lip stick is quite a site to behold. Each year during the Labor Day Weekend thousands flock from around the world to take part in the Southern Decadence in the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana, what started out years ago as a group of men having nothing better to do decided to get dressed in women's apparel and parade through the Bywater Margingy neighborhoods in New Orleans. Each year a grand marshall is selected by the previous year grand marshall. A theme is selected and the parade forms on world famous Royal Street and parades following a route through the French Quarter. I personally have over 31 years of some fantastic images. This event ranks as one of the highest economy boosters here in New Orleans, second to Mardi Gras.
