Description
Local weather reported a thunder storm coming across Lake Pontchartrain. I rushed out to the lake and as I was watching the monster waves, I started to turn around and this cloud formation was behind me. I looked at the image more closely and to the right of the foliage it looks like a 4 but then again it looks just like a cross. This storm was one of the most photographed. After it passed over the city. the setting sun created the most spectacular rainbow locals have ever seen. The storm packed close to 70 mile per hour winds.

Hello Marian, when I heard the storm was coming across the lake I had rushed out to the seawall to watch it come across, the winds where extremely strong. The had cause damage on the other side and New Orleans had severe weather alert. It was summer befor last. As I was watching the waves prior the rain shield turned around and that c;loud formation was behind me. Thanks for the V/F appreciate that! Michael
