Copyright Warning Do Not Alter My Photography Notes: Detail of one of the three tall sailing ships which were in the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana. The U.S. Navy in commeration of the War of 1812 selected New Orleans as host of three tall sailing ships. The three ships in port were the U.S.Navy Coast Guard tall ship Barque Eagle, The Guayas a three masted tall sailing ship and Indonesia's KRI Dewaruci. The KRI Dewaruci was built in Germany 1932 and launched iin 1953, it was named after a mythological Indonesian god of truth.
