Description
This beautiful fountain was designed by a local for his wife. Over the years it was in neglect and City Park of New Orleans, La had maintained it. The towering spray of water shoots from a giant sculpture of a lotus flower with small sprays of water from coper sculpture frogs and dolphins.... It is now the center piece to a country club house. The main ballroom or parlor of the country club faces the fountain, one of many fountains throughout the New Orleans. The fountain in Jackson Square is the most photographed in New Orleans. Also many local and visiting brides have their formal bridal photos taken at Popps Fountain makes for a picturesque background, the rail which surrounds the columns years past had wisteria vines growing.
