Description
This amazing group of ladies, mask for the 1st Mardi Gras after Hurricane Katrina, the entire city had flooded from the levee breech or dike as named in other country's. This is such an original and fun costume. Though many citizens were not back in New Orleans after the Hurricane, Mardi Gras was not cancelled, it was Mardi Gras which gave the city awareness New Orleans was in fact back in business. People from around the world stilled traveled to take part in the annual celebrations. As the signed reads New Orleans needs stronger Dikes, sad but true it was the fault of of the structure unable to withstand the surge of water pressure and the levee or flood wall gave way. There names are typed in there name tags in Swedish. This was such a fun costume and for a day the city forgot there city was just months earlier in some places close to 15 twenty feet of water.
