This amazing photo from aboard an exploration boat in the Gulf of Mexico off the Coast of Louisiana USA The sun was nearly setting and this burst of color at the horizon offset the grey clouds above. The reflection from the sunset was cast on the water. The sky seem ablaze with a vivid fusion of colors from yellow to red hues. In the foreground is ships mooring post. Over the course of five years spent in the Gulf of Mexico I had the opportunity to capture amazing sights when they became available. My shift aboard was from 3 am til 6 pm or 7 most of my free time I would collect my thoughts of family and friends and view some of the most spectacular sights to behold. There were times I would be notified of something worthy of taking a photo by the captain or crew members. My five years at sea was the most memorable because of the unexpected conditions mother nature would offer.
