Description
This unique photo of a mausoleum reviews the glass ceiling which allows natural light from the 4th floor to the ground floor. The floor consists of glass squares which allow the light from the entire glass ceiling to pass through and illuminate each floor. The light from the ceiling also bounces off the white marble of the crypts and niches for the deceased. This photo was taken with a Nikcon 820 telephoto wide angle. I have never visited a mausoleum but this particular one is very unique, each side hallway are windows the windows were hand painted of a local historic landmark here in New Orleans. The artist painstaking painting on the full height of the window to look like a stain glass piece of work. When the light passes through these windows it floods the wall with colors from the hand painted glass pieces of art. The original hand painted pieces of work were done in 1958.
