Description
During the 1984 Worlds Fair in New Orleans, Louisiana I worked part-time as a color film processor in the Italian Village I personally had access to anything within the World's Fair before it opened to the public. The owner of the film processing wanted to use my personal photos but I did not grant him use of them. The photos developed for customers were used as postcards. The 1984 New Orleans World's Fair by local and critics was a failure but other disagree. The image of the two sculptures bust were manufactured by famous float designer Blaine Kern.
While walking around taking personal photos of interest I came upon this very unique photographic image. The 1984 New Orleans Worlds Fair was the beginning of the redevelopment of the Historic Warehouse Area on the Riverfront area. The historic buildings are now a thriving and urban development fr commercial use such as restaurants, hotels, and modern apartment living spaces. The New Orleans Convention Center now was the Great Hall Pavilion which housed the inner-national exhibits during the 1084 World's Fair Exposition.
